HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR DOCTOR VISIT FOR THE BEST OUTCOME PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, AND SPIRITUALLY
The best way to prepare for your doctor's appointment is to make the most of your scheduled time.
1. Prepare. Write down any symptoms or concerns before your appointment. Discuss any family history concerns.
2. Number 1 problem: Write down the first and second problem you want handled at your appointment. Many people make lists that are overwhelming and unrealistic to solve in one visit.
3. Share any major life changing events: Loss of loved one, divorce, loss of job, financial concerns, family issues. These life events can help the doctor assess how it is impacting your health mental, physical and spiritually.
4. Confirm your understanding of what the doctor is planning for the next step before leaving the office.
5. Discuss any concerns about the plan with the doctor.
